Wedding Attire
Formal Beach Wedding – Less formal than a church wedding but still dressy. Wear light colors (white, pastel, etc.), natural and lightweight fabrics, and sensible shoes that can withstand walks through the sand.
For Women
- Lightweight fabric such as silk, chiffon, satin or organza
- Nice sundresses, short and tea length dresses are common
- Nice, lightweight pantsuits are also a good option
- Consider a hat or something to pull hair back with just in case it gets windy on the beach
- While the ceremony is in the gazebo, the reception will be on the beach, so for footwear, you can either choose a dressy flat or wear the high heels and go barefoot once we get on the beach
For Men
- Dress pants such as linen, lightweight cotton, or nice khakis
- Nice button down shirt
- Ties are optional
- Suit jackets aren’t necessary but a lightweight sports coat/blazer is an option for the ceremony or if it gets chilly
- Leather shoes are a good choice or nice sandals
Weather
- The wedding ceremony will begin at 6:00pm.
- Sunset will be at 7:07pm
- If it rains the wedding/reception will be moved into the ball room
- Historically on April 17th, Playa Del Carmen has an average high temperature of of 84 and low low of 71
